Natural beauty popularity 'driven by organic food market'
This is the view of numerous shoppers and retailers, according to an article for RedEye.Speaking to the news provider, Jamie McKeown, manager of a branch of wellness restaurant, grocery store and spa chain Karyn"s, claimed that natural beauty is seeing a surge in popularity thanks to the expanding market for organic food.
"With your skin being the largest organ of your body, anything you put on your skin is just like eating," the manager pointed out.
Furthermore, the article went on to point out that natural beauty ingredients are far from being a fad and are gaining acceptance among legitimate treatments.
"This is serious skin care even though it"s botanicals," said June Jacobs, founder of her own all-natural product line.
Her comments come after cosmetic chemist Amanda Foxon-Hill, writing for IslamOnline.net, claimed that consumers are now keener to question the ingredients which make up their beauty products.
